Energy efficient technology sees new light as researchers are telling the fluoride ion battery can keep machines working longer than the lithium-ion battery. Wait till the battery technology is fully developed; you will be able to give a full charge to your mobile phone once and forget for a week. Researchers find 10x energy efficiency in fluoride ion battery than lithium. Fluoride is something traditional in toothpaste. Who knew they could be great in making efficient batteries.



In rechargeable battery technology lithium-ion battery still plays the highest role following we have those batteries in all of our mobile phones, laptops, also recently in our cars. With the development of electronics and automobiles, producers are seeking continuously for the longlasting and safer source of rechargeable batteries. Energy storage capacity is another consideration in developing battery technology. Keeping in mind the future of energy requirements, some of the researchers are persistently working on solid-state fluoride battery technology.

Interest in  Electric vehicles (EV) considerably raised all over the EU markets. Chancellor Angela Merkel called for Germany to manufacture battery cells for electric cars. The German government is investing 1 billion euros ( $1 .2 billion ) to finance a consortium to produce electric car batteries plus promote the improvement of Solid-state batteries. The funds are created to scale down the reliance of German car businesses on electric car battery suppliers from Asia. The German authorities don’t just love to look at the automakers depend on batteries from Asian countries to manufacture electric cars.

The Lithium-ion battery created demands as an alternative to fossil fuels - diesel, petrol. Sadly, several accidents occurred where the lithium-ion battery caught fire. However, giant automakers look forward to developing more efficient energy storage technology having a better life cycle, fast rechargeable, safer such as solid state battery.
