267 million Facebook users' personal information leaked

This time the leak of personal information of Facebook users has been revealed. An Interim Investigation report released on Thursday revealed that Facebook currently has lost privacy of data of nearly 267 million users in its database.

At present, a large number of Facebook usernames, phone numbers and other relevant information have been leaked online. According to a report published on a website called www.comparitech.com, only a large amount of user data was uploaded to a hacker forum last week.

In this regard, a Facebook spokesperson said, "We believe we have made many changes over the past few years to protect people's information. However, we are investigating the matter. ”

Additionally, CompariTech reports that security researcher Bob Diachenko first discovered the database. The publicly available database contains Facebook usernames, user IDs and phone numbers. However, it has not been discovered since this week's snowstorm.

A similar Facebook investigation found that the hacking company leaked information to nearly eight million users in the United States and other countries in violation of Facebook's own terms. On the other hand, Facebook has to pay $5 billion in compensation for failing to protect users' privacy right this year.
