iPhone and Android phone users are now using more popular apps. According to a report by the data analytics firm Sensor Tower, the number of app downloads worldwide exceeded 114.9 billion last year. App downloads have increased by 9.1% over the same period last year. Of this, 30.6 billion downloads have been downloaded to Apple's App Store and 84.3 billion times from Google PlayStore.

According to Sensor Tower, WhatsApp was the most downloaded or popular app in the last year. WhatsApp was able to hold its previous position as a download number. However, the Chinese company Bytedance has been able to attack the Facebook kingdom.
The tick is now in second place on the list of most popular apps to beat Facebook.

For years, facebook-owned apps were at the top of the download list in different countries around the world. Facebook's app was the top four of the most downloaded apps in 2016 and 2017. WhatsApp has released only the tick in the past year.
