Why was the word smart used before everything? Is this the only way to do business?

We have been seeing the word smart for several years in front of various technology products. But why buy a smart product? What is the difference with other products? Due to the presence of microchips, sensors, etc. in these smart technologies, these objects have become intelligent and have senses, communication or communication capabilities, thus it's creating a new product category - 'smart technology'. Smart technology is making daily life easier.

It automatically increases the brightness of your phone when you go out in the sun or in a lot of light. You don't have to raise the status bar to increase the brightness. Think about how smart it is. Due to the smartphone's proximity sensor, when the phone is brought closer to the ear, the phone screen lights off. Because of the fingerprint sensor, no one else can take advantage of your phone except you. 

The smartwatch can be connected to this phone. You can receive or avoid your phone call, see and read notifications.

Your home's smart camera is connected to the Internet so it will send a notification to your phone when you see unfamiliar faces in front of the house.

The fire service will let you know when your smart kitchen device senses fire. 

Thus all the products around you are becoming smart, you are paying the company to buy them. Your life is smart and the company's business is running well.
